On Sunday mornings, we have a regular gathering that starts at 10:30 AM.
Participation: We begin with a time of worship together in which brothers and sisters are encouraged to share what God has been doing in their lives through a song, a word of testimony, a passage of scripture, or a word of exhortation. (1 Corinthians 14:26) We believe that this participatory style of worship is what is taught in scripture regarding how the church is to worship the Lord together. Hebrews 10:24-25 says, “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” So, rather than neglecting to meet together, we are to come together, and when we do so, it is imperative that we consider how to encourage one another. And as 1 Corinthians 14:26 says, “When you come together, each one has…” meaning that the members of the body ought to come prepared to share from the work that God has been doing in their lives.
Teaching from the Word: In Acts chapter 2:42, the Apostles’ teaching is one of the aspects of worship that the early church devoted themselves to. We spend time each week hearing from those who shepherd us as we walk through books of the Bible. We believe that the Holy Spirit does not waste words and every passage of scripture has so much to teach us as followers of Christ.
Weekly Lord’s Supper: We end each gathering with a celebration of the Lord’s Supper as Christ encouraged his disciples to do and Paul reminded the church in 1 Corinthians 11:17-34. Paul says that the Supper was an integral part of why the church would come together and that each time we take part in this picture, we proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
Families: Our gatherings are family integrated, so we welcome our children to be with us during the gathering time. We are happy to help assist families in any ways we can to help you participate fully in the gathering.
