Why do we need to confess our sins to others?

We often like to believe that if we confess our sins to God, that is enough. We’ve practiced repentance. After all, we don’t need to confess things to our brothers and sisters when it doesn’t affect them. But we forget that our sin does affect them. It affects the whole body. As Paul says in Galatians 5:9, “A little leaven leaves the whole lump of dough.” In this article, Meredith Cook helps us to see why it is important that we make regular confession a part of our repentance an discipline within our churches.
